The divided shoe allows me to point my toe like a ballerina even though I'm dancing ballroom. I am a dance instructor in Orlando and use this shoe for my personal dancing. The strap makes my ankle look good when I wear a dress or skirt.
The sole is nice and I slide good - not as slippery as my other suede shoes, but good. The rubber heal helps me to stop from a fast spin - I ONLY spin fast so I enjoy the brakes. I have two pair - one beige and one black. I'm happy.
I bought the first pair at my regular street shoe size and they were a little snug. I bought the second pair at a 1/2 size larger and I didn't have to spend days stretching out the right foot with a shoe stretcher. (apparently my right foot is bigger? Ho hum.) The 1/2 size large were good to wear right out of the box.
