I Love, Love, Love these shoes! They are SO cute! I ordered them in the light tan and liked them so much that I ordered them in black, too. I'm thinking about the red and/or olive color now! These shoes are SO cute and soft! They are SUPER comfortable, too. The sole of this shoe is very soft and cushioned. I wouldn't wear them sight-seeing (to be on the safe side), but I wore them for an entire day of flying and walking through airports and had no problems. I've worn them to the mall, around town, out to dinner, running errands, etc. They make my foot look nice, too. The heel is about 3.5" high, but it doesn't feel that high because the ball of your foot is about 1.5" off the ground. The top of this shoe and straps are leather. Then there is a thin layer of cork. This is SO cute. The rest of the base is a textured plastic/rubber of some sort. But, it does not look like plastic/rubber because it is textured. The texture looks like burlap. There is a nice rubber layer on the bottom of the heel and sole, so I feel secure when walking on slippery surfaces. These shoes fit true to size, as well. I have a foot that sometimes requires a W width - usually in dress shoes. I ordered these shoes in my normal size and regular (M) width and have had no problems. The top straps are leather, so they will stretch to fit. Also, there is a small piece of elastic on the inside upper strap (by the arch of your foot) that allows a bit of "give." On top of everything else, these shoes are very versatile. I've worn them with trousers, trouser jeans, capris and a sundress. I think they'd be cute with jeans, shorts, skirts, etc. I've worn these shoes almost every day for the last 2 weeks (since the weather turned warm). I've gotten lots of compliments on them and they are really soft!
